Terms and conditions:

All enquiries are booked over E-mail or social media (Instagram or Facebook) directly with Lindsey Cook.

Wedding dates are held with a non refundable £50 deposit prior to any bridal trial appointment, this is to ensure the date is secure.

A £10 non-refundable deposit is to be paid by the client per head for any trial. This is to be secured once the makeup artist has confirmed the date of the trial.

Once the trial is complete the Client will have 7 days to contact the Artist if you wish to continue their booking.

Trials are held at an address allocated by the Client. The Artist requires a space for a chair, table, and natural lighting (near a window if possible). If the Client prefers a salon-based booking within a bridal salon, this comes at an extra fee of £20 (mileage fee for trial will be deducted) due to Artist overheads to rent a chair for a select period of time.

Trials are completed between 3-6 months prior to the wedding date and are usually booked on specific trial dates rostered by the Artist. However, if a certain date is required, please discuss with the Artist and special arrangements can be made if the diary allows.

If the Client needs to rearrange the booked trial for any reason, 48 hours’ notice must be given, otherwise the trial deposit will be lost and requested again when rebooked.

Pricelists are available on request. All freelance wedding bookings include a £20 freelance fee which includes travel within a 20-mile radius from the Artist home address, kit transportation, travelling time and mileage.

Any deposit fee is redeemed against the final balance.

If the Client decides not to continue with the booking after the trial all costs paid will not be refunded. Unfortunately, the Makeup Artist cannot guarantee the date of the wedding being available after the trial, all dates are offered on a first come first serve basis.

The final payment is due no later than 7 days before the nominated wedding date. If there are any issues with this, please discuss with the Artist immediately. Failure to pay the fee within the stated time can result in the event being cancelled by the Makeup Artist.

Between the months of June - September there is a minimum booking of 3 people during weekend or weekday wedding enquiries.

Sundays, Bank holidays and the festive period between 23rd December - 2nd January include an additional day rate of £50 applied to any bridal booking.

The final number of makeup applications must be confirmed 6 weeks prior to the wedding date. If numbers should increase/decrease within 6 weeks of the wedding date, it is up to the Artists discretion, and this must be agreed in writing before the wedding date. If in the rare instance another person requires make up on the day of the wedding, it is down to the Artists discretion to complete, and payment will be required before the Artist completes the service required. The make-up Artists kits will only be used on customers who are included on the booking, and it is of the owner’s discretion to allow any use outside of these parameters.

The Artist can comfortably cater for a group of 7, including the bride within a 5–6-hour period. However, if there are time restraints and/or more bridal party members required for the service,

The Artist may require an additional Artist to assist on the wedding date to ensure all bridal party members can be catered for in time for the ceremony time. A second Artist will be chosen by the Artist and will be trusted and capable with experience within the wedding industry. This will be discussed with the Client before securing a second Artist. There are 2 options available:

Scenario 1 – A second pair or hands will be brought to the bridal suite with the Artist to assist in skin prep and finishing touches. This will incur a £30 charge payable for the assistant.

Scenario 2 – An additional bridal Artist is required, and the booking will need to be split between Artists. This may incur an additional charges and travel fee for the second Artist which are quoted by the second artist.

Travel costs are included within the set freelance fee of £20 for the direct journey on the wedding day within 20 miles of the Artist’s home address. Additional miles will be charged as 0.75p per mile (round trip), for anything over the set 20-mile radius.

If a fee of car park is required at the venue or any trial, this fee will be charged to the Client.

If a congestion charge, eco charge or dart charge is required during travel, this fee is also charged to the Client.

If the Artist must travel over 2 hours to the venue (4 hours round trip), the Artist may request the Client to book accommodation the night before, to prevent any delays due to traffic on the morning of the wedding. If it is agreed that the Artist is happy to travel early and complete the return journey in one day, then an additional £15 Travel Surcharge per each additional hour will be charged to the Client.

Charges will be applied for unsociable hours. Start times prior to 6.00am will incur a £30 charge.

If due to numbers or late arrivals, venues/ceremony time concerns or we jointly decide to cover more than one location to fit everyone in, there will be an additional £30 pack away fee to cover extra travel costs and travel time. This must be discussed with the Artist prior to the wedding morning so the timetable can be adjusted accordingly.

When booking with the Artist the Client is agreeing to them using photography and/or videography of the bridal party and their work All work will be used for use on their social media platforms, website, and for marketing materials. If anyone in the Clients party objects to this, the Client must let the Artist know in writing as soon as possible.

In the unlikely event on the wedding day, any circumstances beyond the Artists control, i.e., Force Majeure (act of nature), severe illness, or lengthy traffic delays due to an accident, cause delays and they are unable to carry out the requested service as expected, the Artist will not be held liable for compensation and no refunds will be given.

It is best practice and a good idea to take out wedding insurance to protect the Client from losing any money from suppliers who are unable to carry out their services due to unforeseen circumstances.

If for any reason the Client cancels within 6 weeks of the wedding date, any balance paid so far are not refunded, unless extreme circumstances are discussed. The decision to refund is at the discretion of the Artist. If for any reason the Artist should cancel all balances paid so far will be refunded.

If the Client cancels within 2 weeks of the wedding date for any reason, Fifty Percent of the total wedding day cost as agreed, will be charged. This balance must be paid within 72 hours of cancellation.

The makeup Artist reserves the right to refuse service to the Client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

If the Client wishes to postpone the wedding date due to an unforeseen reason, the Artist will try their best to accommodate such changes, but this is subject to availability. If the Client chooses a date whereby, the Artist has been informed and is unavailable, any monies paid by the Client to date will not be refunded.

If the Client postpones the booking to a date that the Artist is available, any deposits/balances paid so far will be transferred and redeemed off the final balance for the new date. This will be confirmed in writing and the process will carry on as above.

The Artist is not liable for any suppliers that they recommend, any assisting Make Up Artist will be required to have their own liability insurance. The Artist holds liability insurance with salon gold.

It is the Client’s responsibility to make the Artist aware of any known allergies, skin sensitivities or contagious skin conditions that they or any member of the bridal party may have. On the rare occasion that a bridal party member does have a contagious skin infection and the Client did not inform the Artist, they can refuse application with no refund provided.

If any bridal party suffers with severe skin reactions or sensitivity, it is recommended that such Client should seek advice from a medical professional and attend a trial to complete a sample test of products.

*The Client agrees to release Lindsey Cook, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

All brushes, tools and make up products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between each make up application.

By paying the deposit/first invoice and confirming the booking, the Client is agreeing to the terms and conditions set out for the booking.
